
Catering Manager
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and client-focused Catering Manager to oversee all aspects of catering operations, from planning and execution to client communication and team coordination. The ideal candidate will have a passion for events and hospitality, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while delivering outstanding service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute catering events of varying sizes and types (corporate functions, weddings, private events, etc.)
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients—handling inquiries, conducting tastings, site visits, and managing ongoing communication.
- Collaborate with culinary and service teams to ensure all event details are communicated and executed smoothly.
- Develop and manage catering proposals, contracts, and budgets.
- Coordinate logistics including staffing, setup, breakdown, and transportation of food and equipment.
- Ensure quality control of all food, presentation, and service.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships related to catering operations.
- Hire, train, and supervise catering staff for events.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health regulations.
- Drive revenue through proactive sales efforts, including upselling services and building relationships with corporate and event clients.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Catering Manager or in a similar role within hospitality/events.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and catering/event management software.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
