
Category Manager (Bakery Ingredients)
Range Management:
- Assess and implement product ranges to maximize store sales and performance.
- Develop an optimum product mix tailored to customer needs.
- Design and implement placement strategies (planograms) to improve turnover and customer experience.
- Formulate competitive pricing strategies to deliver value to customers.
- Achieve sales, profit, and income goals through strategic business planning.
Promotional and Trade Planning:
- Develop and execute promotional plans to drive excitement and incremental sales.
- Work closely with the marketing team on campaigns, POS materials, and product displays.
- Coordinate digital, social media, and traditional marketing efforts to support category growth.
Analytical and Reporting Functions:
- Conduct market and sales data analysis to inform category strategies.
- Maintain dashboards to track category sales and marketing performance.
- Analyse promotional effectiveness and recommend improvements.
Product and Client Management:
- Manage stock levels and ensure timely replenishment for key clients.
- Collaborate with suppliers on product launches and promotional activities.
- Provide high-quality service and support to supermarket clients.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in sales, marketing, or distribution within the FMCG industry.
- Experience managing both branded products and agency brands.
- Knowledge of POS design, merchandising, and store operations.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to derive insights from data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI preferred).
- Familiarity with CRM systems and market analysis software.
- Excellent communication, client management, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
