Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed inspection plans for aerospace components and assemblies, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, engineering specifications, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to define the most appropriate inspection methods and criteria for new parts, assemblies, and systems.
  • Identify and select suitable inspection tools, techniques, and measurement equipment (e.g., CMM, optical, gaging etc.).
  • Establish acceptance criteria and tolerances for aerospace products based on engineering drawings, material specifications, and industry standards.
  • Create and maintain detailed inspection reports, documentation, and records, ensuring that all inspection activities are traceable and compliant with regulatory requirements
  • Develop inspection records that support traceability and certification, including first article inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final inspections.
  • Create CMM or Gear Programming for in process inspection and final inspection.
  • Ensure that all inspection processes adhere to aerospace industry standards, including AS9100, AS9110, AS9120, NADCAP, FAA regulations, and customer-specific requirements
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, ensuring that all personnel are trained and knowledgeable about relevant protocols.
  • Support internal and external audits related to inspection processes and quality assurance systems.
  • Investigate and perform root cause analysis for any quality issues or inspection failures, using tools such as 8D, FMEA, and Fishbone diagrams.
  • Lead initiatives to improve inspection processes, reduce inspection times, and increase the accuracy and reliability of inspections

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years’ working experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering.
