MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. To write clean, maintainable, and efficient code for all digital products.
  2. To help identify and develop software with a view of being able to commercialise various products for the Group.
  3. To design robust, scalable, and secure features.
  4. To drive continuous adoption and integration of new and cutting-edge technologies into design.
  5. To implement new features for the Group's web platforms.
  6. To contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
  7. To follow best practices (test-driven development Rspec, continuous integrations, SCRUM, refactoring, code standards).
  8. To fix and cleaning of bugs and performing updates and upgrades to the infrastructure.
  9. To oversee and maintain the Group system IT infrastructure and recommend upgrades/changes to keep in line with developmentsin technology and IT security.
  10. To mentor junior engineers and review of sub-contractors work if applicable
  11. To produce mock-ups as required for new features and applications.
  12. To champion innovation across the Group and lead innovative projects that enhance processes, create new products, and exceed customer expectations.
  13. To carry out any other duties as may be expected in a post of this level.
