MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To write clean, maintainable, and efficient code for all digital products.
- To help identify and develop software with a view of being able to commercialise various products for the Group.
- To design robust, scalable, and secure features.
- To drive continuous adoption and integration of new and cutting-edge technologies into design.
- To implement new features for the Group's web platforms.
- To contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
- To follow best practices (test-driven development Rspec, continuous integrations, SCRUM, refactoring, code standards).
- To fix and cleaning of bugs and performing updates and upgrades to the infrastructure.
- To oversee and maintain the Group system IT infrastructure and recommend upgrades/changes to keep in line with developmentsin technology and IT security.
- To mentor junior engineers and review of sub-contractors work if applicable
- To produce mock-ups as required for new features and applications.
- To champion innovation across the Group and lead innovative projects that enhance processes, create new products, and exceed customer expectations.
- To carry out any other duties as may be expected in a post of this level.
