Roles & Responsibilities
- Coordinate with consultants (architects, engineers, and designers) to ensure architectural details meet project requirements.
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to facilitate the smooth execution of architectural works.
- Review architectural drawings, specifications, and method statements to ensure compliance with building codes and project standards.
- Attend site and coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and relevant authorities.
- Resolve discrepancies or conflicts between architectural, structural, and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) drawings.
- Support value engineering efforts by proposing alternative materials, designs, or construction methods for cost efficiency.
- Ensure construction accuracy by verifying that all architectural elements comply with approved drawings and specifications.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to BCA (Building and Construction Authority) regulations, URA (Urban Redevelopment Authority) guidelines, and other regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Singapore’s construction standards, including BCA’s Code of Practice.
- Prepare and submit architectural documents and reports for regulatory approvals.
- Monitor workmanship quality and project timelines to maintain construction progress.
- Address technical issues and site constraints by coordinating with consultants and contractors.
- Oversee rectification works for defects and non-conformances to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain proper documentation for architectural works, including as-built drawings, material submissions, and warranty records.
- Assist in project handover and defect rectification before obtaining the Temporary Occupation Permit (TOP) and final project completion.
- Participate in daily meetings, toolbox talks, and Taiso exercises, while actively engaging in safety and housekeeping activities.
- Attend Workplace Safety and Health Committee (WSHC) meetings to support safety compliance.
- Submit daily progress and safety reports as required.
- Perform night duty when necessary to ensure project continuity and oversight.
