Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise and when necessary, execute all aspects of purchasing and material planning of raw material, packaging and other material and services as specified.
  • Source and qualify potential suppliers, in accordance with established supplier certification guidelines and Purchasing policies.
  • Co-ordinate and oversee bid processes for suppliers according to established guidelines.
  • Work cross-functionally to assist in the development of new products (i.e., packaging design, new ingredients, labels, etc.)
  • Work with QA and R&D on quality issues, specifications, nutritional information and discuss concerns with suppliers.
  • Establish and maintain the chain of command for all purchasing requisitions, purchasing documentation, forecasts and receiving documentation.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Purchasing Management, Logistic Management or Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
  • Relevant working experience in F&B retail would be an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • Good in planning, organizing and prioritizing assignments.
  • Continuously implementing improvement processes is a priority.
  • Independent, able to work under pressure, as well as multi-tasking.
