Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for food ingredients, ensuring alignment with company goals, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers/vendors based on pricing, quality, reliability, and delivery performance.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed on food ingredient trends, pricing, and availability; provide insights to the management team.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to secure favorable agreements and build long-term supplier partnerships.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Production, Quality Control, and Finance) to understand ingredient requirements and support smooth procurement operations.
  • Manage and nurture supplier relationships, conduct regular performance reviews, and resolve any issues or disputes.
  • Track and monitor supplier performance, including on-time delivery, quality standards, and contractual compliance.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance procurement processes to drive efficiency, cost savings, and supply chain performance.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and food safety regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain reports, metrics, and analysis related to procurement activities and supplier performance.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 3 years of procurement experience in the F&B industry, preferably focused on food ingredients or food packaging.
  • Strong understanding of food ingredient specifications, market trends, and sourcing best practices.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and proven ability to manage vendor relationships effectively.
  • Proficiency in procurement systems and tools for data analysis and reporting.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and quality control processes is a plus.
