Its principal business encompasses corporate finance, trade finance, cash management, funds transfers, project finance and treasury. It also collaborates with its affiliate company, Mizuho Securities, to provide investment banking solutions to its customers.

Singapore Branch also serves as a regional office for Bank's Asia & Pacific operations.

Regional IT Governance and Country IT Support Implementation is responsible to govern, control, and support country IT and improve their processes/ products/ services as necessary to meet regional requirements/ goals.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

IT Governance and Compliance

  • Develop, implement, and enforce regional IT governance frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure alignment across all country IT operations
  • Monitor and evaluate compliance with regional IT policies, ensuring adherence to regulatory and security requirements
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of country IT systems, processes, and controls, providing guidance for improvements where necessary
  • Ensure country IT teams align with key performance metrics (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) established at the regional level

Country IT Support and Implementation

  • Oversee country IT activities, ensuring successful adoption and implementation at country level
  • Provide support to country IT teams to improve processes, products, and services to meet regional goals and business requirements
  • Act as a bridge between regional and country IT teams, facilitating communication and knowledge sharing to address challenges and implement solutions effectively
  • Ensure smooth execution of IT projects in countries, including infrastructure upgrades, application deployments, and system enhancements

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

  • Track and evaluate the performance of country IT teams, identifying areas for improvement and providing actionable recommendations
  • Create and present regular reports on country IT governance, project progress, and operational performance to regional leadership

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to streamline IT processes across countries to improve efficiency and reduce redundancies
  • Lead initiatives to align country IT systems and services with regional IT goals and strategies.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including regional business leaders, country IT heads, etc., to ensure alignment of IT initiatives with business needs
  • Act as a trusted advisor to country IT teams, providing guidance and support to address operational challenges and drive continuous improvement

What you should have:

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in the banking industry.
  • Strong understanding of IT governance, compliance, and risk management principles. Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements for IT operations in banking sector is preferred
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with experience in leading regional or cross-country IT projects
  • PMP certification is an advantage
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve issues quickly and efficiently
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse teams across regions
  • Business-level proficiency in both the English and Japanese languages will be advantageous as you are required to communicate, read and understand, as well as respond and present to management and Japan (Head Office).
