Job Description

Postdoctoral fellow positions are available in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the National University of Singapore.

The research project focuses on studying polymers at the single-molecule level, with the overall goal of bridging the microscopic and macroscopic properties. Both experimental and computational work will be carried out. Trainees will be exposed to interdisciplinary research at the intersection of soft matter and microfluidics.

The successful candidate will:
1. Develop microfluidic platforms for single-molecule polymer studies
2. Study molecular-level dynamics of systems of interest
3. Perform regular imaging experiments using fluorescence microscopy
4. Work collaboratively and train junior lab members

Job Requirements

Applicants must have:
1. PhD in chemical engineering, chemistry, materials science, physical sciences or related fields
2. Published at least 1-2 publications as a first author in top international peer-reviewed journals
3. Experience in soft matter and/or microfluidics
4. Experience with programming is desirable
5. Experience in lab automation is desirable
6. Strong communication and analytical skills
