Job Description Summary:
Perform waste recycling, chemical blending, filling of chemicals, loading/unloading of ISO-tankers, chemical sampling at various locations and packing of finish products. Computer entry and various production/warehousing activities.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate, monitor and control batch manufacturing from system
- Perform filling operation and packing of finished products
- Perform loading and unloading of isotainer
- Perform data entry of process parameters and inspection of operating equipment
- Operate forklift for material handling of production materials
- Perform light maintenance and housekeeping to maintain safe and clean working environment
*Performs other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Nitec / Higher Nitec/ Diploma in Chemical Process Technology/ Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering /or similar discipline is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in chemical manufacturing or related environment is preferred.
- Ability to read, write and speak English to interpret technical documents, such as equipment manuals and P&ID.
- Knowledge of safety protocols in chemical handling and processing.
- Experience in control systems (DCS/SCADA).
- Familiarity with Microsoft software and SAP system
- Familirize in PLC operations
Additional Information:
- Comfortable performing 12-hour rotating shifts.
- Be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Responding to Emergencies in the Workplace.
- Ability to be exposed to various chemicals and compounds including fumes and smells [Hazardous chemicals].
- Require entering confined spaces and performing work in an elevated environment.
- Valid Forklift license
