The Commercial Team achieves this mission by leading the development and growth of global Publishing Partnerships (deployment of situationally dependent monetization solutions to expand revenue and margin for Coda's gaming and creator partners), Payment Partnerships (execution and management of payment channel relationships that provide access to both payment methods and promotional reach), and Distribution Partnerships (execution of partnerships that expand the reach of distribution, monetization and promotional efforts conducted on behalf of gaming and creator partners).About the Role:We are seeking an experienced and strategic Global Payment Partnerships Director to drive the strategy andexecution of a robust pipeline of payment channel and banking partnerships. This position plays a pivotal rolein scaling our business globally by fostering high-impact collaborations with key partners in the payments andfintech ecosystem. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned business development professional with deepexpertise in payment channels and a strong track record of building and growing strategic partnerships.Responsibilities:
  • Define and execute the global strategy for payment partnerships to expand our business reach and capabilities.
  • Lead and enable a global team, ensuring they successfully identify, structure, negotiate, and manage key partnerships.
  • Establish, nurture, and grow relationships with strategic partners, payment providers, industry leaders, and key stakeholders.
  • Drive revenue growth through strategic collaborations, co-marketing activities, and innovative partnership models.
  • Lead sales pitches, presentations, and negotiations with high-level external decision-makers and prospects.
  • Develop deep market insights by analyzing industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to identify new partnership opportunities.
  • Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, regulatory, legal, finance, and other internal teams to drive seamless execution of partnerships.
  • Advocate for client needs in product roadmap discussions and influence product development to enhance our payment offerings.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with local tax regulations and payment industry standards to facilitate effective global payment solutions.
Requirements:
  • Experience in business development or partnerships leadership roles, with direct experience in the payments, fintech, or financial services sector.
  • Strong track record in leading and managing high-performing teams, with experience coaching and developing talent.
  • Proven deal-making expertise with excellent business acumen and negotiation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the payments landscape, including e-commerce, digital wallets, alternative payment methods, and regulatory considerations.
  • Ability to drive sales pipeline growth and execute large-scale strategic deals.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a self-motivated approach to identifying and executing business opportunities.
  • Experience working in a matrixed, global organization and navigating complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Familiarity with local tax regulations and compliance requirements impacting global payment solutions is a plus.
