Job Summary:
We are looking for a seasoned Fire Protection Engineer to take the lead in tender preparation and project execution for EPC/EPCm contracts, with a strong focus on fire safety systems. This position will play a key role in planning, designing, and overseeing fire protection scopes within engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery and technical compliance from design through to commissioning.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- 5–10 years of experience in fire protection engineering within EPC or EPCm project environments.
- Proficient in engineering tools such as Pipenet, FlowMaster, PHAST, and AutoCAD, with the ability to guide and support junior team members.
- Well-versed in both local and international fire protection standards and regulations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical documents, specifications, and contractual requirements.
- Proactive, adaptable, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced project setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated leadership and problem-solving abilities.
Job Scope:
- Serve as the main technical lead for fire protection scopes during tendering and execution phases of EPC/EPCm projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives and client requirements.
- Manage project timelines, manpower planning, and engineering deliverables related to fire protection systems.
- Prepare and develop critical engineering documents, including design philosophies, technical specifications, P&IDs for firewater and sprinkler systems, hydraulic calculations, and layout drawings.
- Review and validate design documentation, datasheets, and vendor submissions to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Liaise and coordinate with clients, project teams, discipline engineers, and vendors to support smooth project progression.
- Provide on-site engineering support during construction and commissioning phases to resolve technical challenges and ensure successful system handover.
