  • Establish robust quality assurance mechanisms to track and enhance clinical effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular practice observations and case reviews, auditing to assess and refine service standards, ensuring alignment with best practices.
  • Strengthen Professional Development & Capability Building
  • Develop and lead training programmes, workshops, and reflective practice sessions for FSC professionals, enhancing their clinical capabilities.
  • Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and coaching for senior practitioners, guiding them in managing complex cases and ethical dilemmas.
  • Establish a learning culture that encourages the continuous development of social workers and counsellors through structured competency-building initiatives.
  • Advocacy, Partnerships & Sector Engagement
  • Represent MWS at national-level platforms, policy dialogues, and inter-agency workgroups, contributing to the development of social service strategies.
  • Serve as a key liaison between MWS and external stakeholders, including government agencies (e.g., MSF), academic institutions, and industry bodies, to influence policies and promote family-centric interventions.
  • Leadership & Organisational Development
  • Lead and support FSC management and senior clinical staff, driving operational and clinical integration across Family Services.
  • Engage in succession planning and workforce development, identifying and nurturing high-potential clinical leaders within the organisation.
  • Partner with MWS leadership to identify service gaps and design innovative, impactful programmes to meet evolving community needs.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Counselling, or Psychology from a recognised institution.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in social service practice, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with experience in developing policies and frameworks for clinical excellence.
  • Strong understanding of FSC operations, clinical practice guidelines, and regulatory compliance within Singapore’s Family Services landscape.
  • Proven ability to mentor, supervise, and guide social workers and clinicians in casework and professional development.

  • Be updated and adaptive, especially in view of the Integrated Family Services landscape review.
