HR Business Partner - Education Sector
Job Overview:
The HRBP plays a pivotal role in providing strategic HR consultancy to support the organisation's short- and long-term business goals. This position involves close collaboration with Business Unit Leaders and line managers to design and implement effective people strategies and talent plans. The successful candidate will be adept at translating business strategy into practical HR actions, assessing impact, and delivering HR solutions that align with organisational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted HR advisor to business leaders on a range of matters including employee engagement, performance management, and employee relations.
- Enhance employee retention by analysing attrition trends and providing data-driven insights to key stakeholders.
- Create and deliver compelling presentations using HR analytics and benchmarking, supported by dashboards and data visualisation tools.
- Translate HR data into actionable recommendations that improve HR practices in alignment with business needs.
- Provide coaching and strategic HR advice to people managers, fostering effective leadership and people management skills.
- Partner with Centres of Excellence (COEs) and cross-functional teams to implement and communicate people strategies.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of HR policies through ongoing employee feedback and engagement.
- Support the capability building of people managers through content development, knowledge sharing, and toolkit creation.
- Proactively identify and propose enhancements to the employee experience across HR touchpoints and processes.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of broad HR experience, including at least 3 years in an HR Business Partnering role.
- Proven ability to manage and influence a range of stakeholders, with strong knowledge of HR practices within the local context.
- Commercially astute, with excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills across all organisational levels.
- Proficient in data analysis and storytelling to support informed decision-making.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with sound report writing skills.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, analytical, resourceful, and proactive in addressing challenges and driving outcomes.
