- Changing floral displays: As a key member of a multi-disciplinary team of horticultural, design, education and communications professionals, you will research, conceptualise and design changing floral displays like Sakura and Tulipmania. You will create conceptual images, perspective and technical drawings, and specifications for prop procurement. You will work closely with stakeholders, colleagues and vendors to implement displays to high standards, and within approved budgets and timelines.
- Other design assignments: The selected candidate will be asked to work on other design assignments, which can include architecture, landscape, interiors, graphics, events, retail displays, and industrial design. When projects are approved, you will prepare briefs, drawings and specifications for the procurement of contractors.
- Degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Industrial Design or related design disciplines.
- Minimum 6 years relevant postgraduate design experience.
- Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Sketchup/3D, and relevant artificial intelligence tools (e.g. Midjourney).
- Familiarity with horticulture and the use of plant materials in design is a bonus.
- Self-motivated, proactive and can multi-task under tight deadlines.
- Collaborative and able to build good relationship with peers and stakeholders.
- Excellent visual communication and verbal presentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively.
