Job Role Summary

  • Responsible for the execution of supply chain tactical and strategic plan, managing internal and external relationships to support business expansion and growth, ensuring business needs are met efficiently.
  • Responsible for upstream Supply Chain operations, not limited to multi-countries / site capacity planning / MPS / production scheduling, OEM management and end to end SCM between Pokka SG with Pokka MFG/Affiliates/OEM/WD, Johor’s plant SC operations and SC projects.
  • Deliver both SC Cost and KPIs. Strong expertise to create / optimize / reduce within SC. Quick to connect dots to identify risk to ring-fenced and opportunity to deliver synergies for both short and longer term operational goals
  • A pragmatic manager and adopting data-driven/analytic approach, scenario-based assessment, ability to prepare sound proposal after take into account of all factors for management decision.
  • Ability to lead in team’s daily operations, improves processes, excel template and data analytics to drive team’s effectiveness. Have aptitude to lead cross-functional work around to resolve issue and deliver result as total company.
  • An effective leader and communicator to lead and influence cross-function collaboration to deliver SC results.
  • Lead Monthly review cadence - Monthly Planning Review, MFG S&OP, MPS review and/or Weekly project review. Participate and contribute in SC cost and monthly Supply Chain Review.
  • Part of Supply Chain Leadership team to deliver SC transformation milestones, includes building HIPO team.
  • Key stakeholders – Group Supply Chain team – Commercial SC, Procurement, Warehouse and Distribution, Sustainability, Manufacturing, R&D, and Order Processing, OEM.

Area of Responsibility

Business Partnering:

  • Collaborate with respective stakeholder leader to understand business needs and requirement to support business growth.

Capacity planning / Production Planning / Scheduling:

  • Develop and lead Pokka multi-sites rough cut capacity planning to achieve lowest Total Delivered Cost - MFG cost, Transfer Cost and Warehousing cost. Conducts assessment between Total Delivered Cost and inventory holding for decision making.
  • Lead monthly MPS planning and build with healthy inventory keeping by country / channel. Challenges demand accuracy and align MRP to ring-fenced potential risk. Conduct Supply Allocation diligently.
  • Lead and manages monthly / weekly MPS / Production Scheduling and build base on demand, capacity – MFG/ WHS and inventory holding. Scope not limited to :-
  • Ensure Master Production Schedule to establish sequence and lead time to meet supply available dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.
  • Review lists of required materials and advise optimum stock level for all materials by using MRP (products, NPD and consumables) by working closely with RM/PM Warehouse.
  • Calculate all materials requirement based on Sales Forecast.
  • Monitor Production Schedule Downtime (CIP, PM, Trial) to anticipate its impact to production, and sales forecast.
  • Ensure optimum capacity planning at various plant and strike balance between inventory building up vs capacity optimization.
  • Lead MFG S&OP to align rolling 12 months production plan, review production output result, improvement areas and issues resolution.
  • Lead and work cross-functionally on inventory reduction and / or achieve healthy inventory.
  • Manages OEM coordination - initiation / operations.

End to end Supply Chain Management (Upstream):

  • Lead end to end SCM between Pokka SG with Pokka MFG/Affiliates/OEM/WD, Johor’s plant SC operations and SC projects.
  • Initiate and drives synergies to reduce Total Supply Chain cost including pallet reconciliation, lead cross-functional Group SC projects includes selected sustainability project.
  • Governing with Supply Chain Rule, consistently review SC rule to upkeep with changes.
  • Overseeing daily Pokka SG SC operations, not limited to :-
  • FG cross-border trucking and replenishment from MFG / OEM to respective WHS location. Ensure supply saleability to market.
  • ERP transactions – intercompany / intracompany PO/GRN, ensure on-time processing and document compliance.
  • Cross-border shipping document preparation.
  • Purchasing Packaging Material.

PMY SC Operations (Johor’s plant):

  • Lead MFG SC Operations including Raw Material / Packaging Material replenishment for production, Warehousing handling and shipment arrangement.

People:

  • Develop IDP and building HIPO team.
  • Coaching / Mentoring / Leads.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or related.
  • Possess at least 10 years’ experience in supply chain with min 5 years in managerial role.

Aptitude and Skills

  • Good business acumen to optimize supply chain value-chain to deliver business goals.
  • Demonstrate strong situational leadership capabilities and ability to work optimally in a diverse environment.
  • Passionate to problem solving, fixing and ability to shift gear base on situation.
  • Demonstrate analytical, interpersonal skills to lead cross-functional changes.
  • Fast learner and comfortable with manual environment i.e. excel as planning tool.
  • Experience in using and or deploy Advance Planning System would be an added advantage.
