Our client is currently seeking experienced and skilled Reinforcing Iron Workers to join our team and contribute to the successful completion of our projects.
Job Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine steel requirements.
- Cut, bend, and tie reinforcing bars (rebar) or mesh using hand and power tools.
- Place and secure rebar within concrete forms using wire, pliers, and other fastening techniques.
- Use rebar cutting and bending equipment as required.
- Ensure all reinforcements are installed according to safety and engineering standards.
- Work closely with concrete pour teams to ensure reinforcement is properly positioned.
- Adhere to all workplace safety guidelines, including PPE usage and hazard identification.
- Assist with unloading and organizing materials on-site.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Reinforcing Iron Worker or similar role in the construction industry.
- Ability to read and understand construction blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
- Familiarity with tools and machinery used in rebar installation.
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and industry regulations.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and at heights when required.
- Team player with strong work ethic and attention to detail.
