Responsibilities
- Conduct Financial Statement Analysis on Originators/Servicers, prepare credit submissions to obtain Mizuho internal credit ratings.
- Prepare credit submissions and present it to the credit department to obtain credit approvals.
- Prepare internal strategy and planning presentations and assist in regular risk and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Conduct regular monitoring of transactions and overall portfolio and report to internal stakeholders, identify early warning signs of risk.
- Support operations and other internal teams in transaction onboarding, settlements, drawdowns, term-outs and other ad-hoc matters.
- Contribute to teams monitoring and managing of exposure limits.
- Experience in financial institutions credit assessment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- 3-5 years of analytical work experience in the financial services industry.
- Prior securitization/structured credit experience will be viewed favorably.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, Economics, Commerce, or Accounting.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
- Ability to undertake credit writing, financial analysis and modeling.
- Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
- Possess an understanding of financial markets and economics in general.
- Team player and has good time management skills.
- Proactive and good problem solving skills.
