Responsibilities

  • Conduct Financial Statement Analysis on Originators/Servicers, prepare credit submissions to obtain Mizuho internal credit ratings.
  • Prepare credit submissions and present it to the credit department to obtain credit approvals.
  • Prepare internal strategy and planning presentations and assist in regular risk and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Conduct regular monitoring of transactions and overall portfolio and report to internal stakeholders, identify early warning signs of risk.
  • Support operations and other internal teams in transaction onboarding, settlements, drawdowns, term-outs and other ad-hoc matters.
  • Contribute to teams monitoring and managing of exposure limits.


Requirements

  • Experience in financial institutions credit assessment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • 3-5 years of analytical work experience in the financial services industry.
  • Prior securitization/structured credit experience will be viewed favorably.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, Economics, Commerce, or Accounting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
  • Ability to undertake credit writing, financial analysis and modeling.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
  • Possess an understanding of financial markets and economics in general.
  • Team player and has good time management skills.
  • Proactive and good problem solving skills.
