
Senior Mechanical Engineer
Job Description:
· Lead or carry out design of mechanical services including Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV), Fire Protection System (FPS), Plumbing and Sanitary (P&S)
· Review and/or produce/compile Detailed Calculations Report
· Prepare presentation slides’ technical/Design input
· Lead liaison with Registered Inspector (RI) and relevant Authority on submission matters
· Coordinate with Client, Consultant and Contractor on design, construction and submission aspects of projects
· Attend technical / site meetings to resolve design issues and site problems
· To monitor the project team in the preparation of drawings, reports, technical documentation, tenders and contract administration
· To liaise with the Client and assist QP/Associate Director in identifying the needs and technical requirements of the Client
· To ensure Design and Drawings conformance to Authorities and Code of Practice requirements
· To prepare work (Design and Drawings) schedules and ensure conformance of such schedule. To monitor and ensure that submission schedules to Authorities are met
· Support Tender bid related to M&E Design
· Other duties arranged by Supervisor
Job Requirements:
· Bachelor Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
· Min. 5 years of Design experience
· Well verse in local practice, i.e. Code of Practice, Standards and local authority submission
· Knowledge & experience in the process of obtaining TOP/CSC for the projects
· Well verse in Mechanical Design Software, e.g. ASHRAE, E20, Trimble, Trace 700, etc
· Knowledge in Drafting/BIM Software, e.g. AutoCAD, Autodesk REVIT, Naviswork, etc
· Good report writing, communication and presentation skills
