
Junior L2 Production Support
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and committed Application Support Analyst with a background in Java/J2EE technologies. This position is ideal for individuals with at least 1 year of experience in an application support environment, or developers eager to transition into support. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring application stability and timely resolution of issues, while working in a shift-based environment, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L1/L2 support for enterprise applications built using Java/J2EE.
- Monitor,troubleshoot, and resolve application incidents and service requests.
- Perform root cause analysis and escalate complex issues as needed.
- Execute SQL queries and Unix commands to investigate problems and support batch jobs.
- Maintain and support web applications, backend batch jobs, and integration points.
- Work with platforms and tools such as JBOSS, MariaDB, MQ, and Control-M (or equivalent job scheduling tools).
- Support system configurations such as MQ setup and C:D (Connect: Direct) where applicable.
- Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to resolve issues effectively.
- Document troubleshooting steps, standard operating procedures, and solutions.
- Ensure adherence to SLAs while maintaining high-quality service delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in application support or software development.
- Solid hands-on experience in Java/J2EE.
- Proficiency with Unix/Linux environments and SQL.
- Understanding of web applications, backend processing, and integration workflows.
- Working knowledge or exposure to:
- JBOSS, MariaDB
- Job scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M)
- MQ setup
- Shell scripting
- C:D (Connect: Direct) – a plus
- Prior experience in the banking or financial services industry is a strong advantage.
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated eagerness to learn, take initiative, and deliver results under pressure.
