Mechanical Engineer
Overview
NEU Battery Materials aims to be the largest, cleanest, and most neutral source of recycled lithium globally, the firm developed the world’s first patented electrochemical redox recycling method that only uses electricity and water. This revolutionary approach is paving the way for a more sustainable future in LFP battery recycling.
We are expanding our current scale of operations and are seeking a Mechanical Engineer. Working closely with the R&D team, this new teammate will ensure mechanical systems, and equipment integrate smoothly into process flow, and mechanical components maintain reliability and performance as production scales from pilot to full-scale.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating with a team to optimize NEU's electrolyzer lithium-ion battery recycling system
- Developing innovative solutions to enhance both the performance and efficiency of NEU's recycling system
- Carry out 3D modelling and flow analysis for ideation, designing, implementation and troubleshooting of technological solutions
- Conduct testing and analysis on improved mechanical solutions for operational feasibility
- Liaise with equipment suppliers and manufacturers for implementation into NEU's recycling line
- Ensure safety and system reliability of recycling line
- Overall project management of solution testing and recycling operation
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Materials Engineering
- 2-3 years work experience
