Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a technical expert on semiconductor fab equipment, including lithography, etching, deposition (CVD/PVD/ALD), CMP, diffusion, ion implantation, and metrology.
  • Work with IT and automation teams to integrate fab equipment with SECS/GEM, EDA, and OPC-UA for smart manufacturing.
  • Implement AI-driven predictive maintenance and real-time equipment monitoring solutions.
  • Drive adoption of digital twins, IoT, and edge computing for equipment performance tracking
  • Implement fault detection, root cause analysis (RCA), and failure mode effects analysis (FMEA) to resolve equipment issues.
  • Analyze tool-related defects, process drift, and performance variation using data-driven methodologies.
  • Implement advanced process control (APC) and fault detection classification (FDC).
  • Collaborate with fab operations, IT, and automation teams to optimize equipment performance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.

Experience:5+ years in semiconductor fab equipment engineering or a related SME role.

Technical Expertise:

  • In-depth knowledge of semiconductor fab tool operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Experience with plasma processing, vacuum systems, RF generators, and robotics.
  • Familiarity with predictive maintenance (AI/ML-based), automation, and Industry 4.0 applications.
  • Hands-on experience with equipment control software, sensors, and PLC programming.
