Trade Operations Executive (Dry Bulk)
Job Description
Our client is a Commodity Trading MNC with HQ in Japan, currently seeks a Trade Operations Specialist to join their Dry Bulk team.
Reporting to the Trade Operations Manager, the incumbent will be working in a team of 5 staffs. He / She will need to make sure all the shipment are properly executed in accordance to contracts and regulations, liaising with internal & external BUs, and ensuring timely & accurate inputs into the system.
The main duties will include prepare of L/C draft, liaise with banks for L/C issuance, update buyers & sellers on vessel movement, monitor shipment status, monitor demurrage & dispatch receivables or payables, prepare shipping documents for dry bulk commodities (E.g. coal, bauxite, iron ore, copper concentrate, lithium, etc), liaise with bank for L/C negotiations, and liaise with counterparts on vessel nomination, load and discharge port agent details, stowage plan etc. Additionally, he / she will need to be involved in risk management, liaise with the compliance team, as well as following up on accounts receivables / late payments.

REQUIREMENTS
- Min a Diploma in Business or a related field
- At least 3 year working experience in the dry bulk commodities industry, preferably metals
- Knowledge in Letter of credit & UCP600
- Strong knowledge of contractual commercial terms, including associated risks and obligations
- Working experience in bulk shipping, including the use of laycan and demurrage, especially in FOB-CFR shipments
- Knowledge of International Metals Trade, including trade procedures, B/Ls, B/Cs, L/C negotiation, Internal Control, and Security Trade Control, will be considered a strong advantage
