1. BROAD FUNCTION

1.1 A dedicated and proactive Systems and Network Engineer who will oversee the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability of servers, network and security systems, as well as cloud services.

1.2 Design, implement, and maintain the IT infrastructure of a healthcare organization, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security of the IT environment to support critical hospital operations.

1.3 Effectively support the organization's on-premises and cloud infrastructure management, cybersecurity, and compliance with healthcare regulations to protect sensitive patient data and ensure uninterrupted service delivery.

2. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

2.1 Perform Systems Administration:

Maintain Windows servers, virtualization platforms, and storage solutions. Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy. Ensure high availability and disaster recovery with backups and replication. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply patches and updates.

2.2 Maintain Network Services:

Implement network design, configure, and maintain LAN, WLAN, and VPN infrastructure, managing firewalls, switches, and routers. Implement and monitor network security policies, intrusion detection, and access control. Optimize network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure redundancy.

2.3 Ensure Security and Compliance:

Implement cybersecurity best practices, monitor threats, and manage endpoint protection and vulnerability assessments. Ensure compliance with regulations (e.g., HIB). Conduct security audits and enforce policies on user access, encryption, and authentication.

2.4 Documentation and Reporting:

Create and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.

2.5 On Rotating Roster:Provide standby support during off-office hours and weekend on a rotational basis.

2.6 Ad-Hoc Assignments:carry out any other tasks assigned by the supervisor or RO.

3. QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field.

· With networking, system and security certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, Microsoft certified Azure Solutions Architect and/or Windows Server Administrator, CISSP, CISM and CompTIA Security.

4. EXPERIENCE

4.1 At least 5 years of experience providing systems, network and cybersecurity operational support.

4.2 Must have hands-on experience with servers, network and security devices, firewall, switches, routers, load balancers and wireless solutions.

4.3 Within experience in at least 5 of the below technologies:

· Windows Server environments, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

· Managing and maintaining Active Directory, including user and group management, Group Policy, and domain services.

· Nutanix Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) or equivalent technologies, including deployment, configuration, and management of Nutanix clusters.

· NAS systems such as Synology, including RAID configurations, storage pools, volume management, and monitoring storage health.

· Deploying, configuring, and managing Backup & Replication solutions such as Veeam. Experience with backup strategies, disaster recovery, and data restoration.

· SQL Server backups technologies such as Redgate, including configuring backup schedules, performing restores, and ensuring data integrity.

5.2 Good knowledge of network routing, switching technologies and protocols (i.e. TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs).

5.3 Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, MITRE ATT&CK) and compliance standards with understanding of security principles and best practices to ensure the infrastructure is secure and compliant with industry standards.
