Responsibilities
- Perform routine QC analysis of incoming materials, in-process samples, and finished products following established testing methods.
- Make daily decisions based on QC results, applying problem-solving techniques to ensure accurate data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Provide guidance to plant operators in the laboratory and assume full responsibility for the QC laboratory outside of regular working hours.
- Lead and manage short-term projects, including non-routine analysis and customer complaint investigations.
- Maintain accurate calibration records and ensure the proper functioning of equipment.
- Communicate QC results promptly and accurately to relevant departments, minimizing quality complaints and customer claims.
- Provide training and mentorship to new team members.
Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Degree in Chemistry or a related field.
- Experience: Laboratory or QC experience during internships is preferred.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of quality management systems and laboratory techniques.
- Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail, ability to work independently, and effectively handle stressful situations in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
