
Client Operations Manager – APAC Region (Asset Management)

Are you an experienced professional with a passion for client operations and portfolio management Our client, a prestigious global asset management firm, is looking for a Client Operations Manager to join their newly established APAC Client Operations team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, managing portfolio events and delivering exceptional client service across the APAC region.
Job Description:
As a Client Operations Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating and overseeing portfolio events for clients with Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs). You will collaborate closely with Client Management, Account Managers, and Portfolio Managers to ensure smooth execution of client requirements while managing internal processes, timelines, and complex requests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Portfolio Event Management: Oversee and manage portfolio events such as new SMA setups, custodian transitions, and trading counterparty changes, ensuring smooth execution in line with client expectations.
- Client Liaison: Serve as the central point of contact for clients and internal teams, managing communications and addressing any queries or issues during the portfolio event process.
- Operational Coordination: Track the progress of portfolio events, ensuring deadlines are met and resolving any implementation issues.
- Collaboration & Process Improvement: Work cross-functionally with teams such as portfolio managers, trade teams, and internal operations to streamline processes and enhance future event handling.
- Post-Event Analysis: Document and share learnings from each portfolio event to help improve future operational efficiency.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: 5-7+ years in portfolio event management, client servicing, or transitions within asset management or a custodian firm.
- Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex projects and client relationships.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills (coding is a plus) and proficiency in other IT tools; experience with regulatory requirements is also desirable.
- Educational Background: A degree in Finance or a related field is preferred.
- Attributes: Strong attention to detail, ability to work autonomously and proactively, and a keen interest in continuous learning and process improvement.
