Duties and Responsibilities

Outreach, Development and Mentorship (ODM) Programme

1. Casework and Mentoring

i. Conduct intake and risk assessments for the ODM beneficiaries (children, youth, and ex-inmates).

ii. Provide case management and mentoring services to the beneficiaries. This include assessing specific needs of beneficiaries, formulating and articulating assessments using identified tools, execute and review interventions

iii. Equipped to provide basic counselling, crisis management and mentoring to promote personal growth and development of the beneficiaries.

iv. Perform needs assessment of beneficiaries and identify service gaps.

v. Participate in case reviews and case conferences.

vi. Network with community partners and collaborate in areas where holistic support to beneficiaries can be provided.

vii. Maintain proper case documentation in a timely and accurate manner.

viii. Review and evaluate ODM case-work and mentoring programmes.

ix. Conduct quarterly psychoeducational workshops for the children and youth beneficiaries.

2. Group Work

i. Support the Senior Social Worker in planning, documentation, facilitation, and evaluation of groupwork/support group aimed at promoting interaction, collaboration, and shared learning among beneficiaries.

3. Community Development Work

i. Engage in community development activities and support community events to foster better community relationships and promote our services.

4. Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships

i. Liaise and build relationships with other agencies, ministries, and community partners for collaborations, referrals, and to enhance service delivery.

5. Professional Practice

i. Maintain a high standard of professional practice in social work, adhering to ethical guidelines and continually seeking to improve skills and knowledge.

Technical Competency

  1. Educational Background: Minimum Bachelor’s in Social Work/Graduate Diploma in Social Work.
  2. Experience: Minimum two years’ experience in social services or community engagement roles is preferred. Experience working with children and youth from disadvantaged backgrounds will be advantageous.

  1. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to connect with and support individuals from all walks of life, demonstrating empathy, patience, and understanding in interactions with our beneficiaries.
  2. Team Collaboration: Must be a team player, able to work collaboratively with other members of our team, community partners, and stakeholders to achieve common goals.
  3. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective engagement with beneficiaries, families, team members, stakeholders, and the wider community.
  4. Problem Solving: Must be solution-oriented, able to identify challenges and formulate effective solutions in a timely manner.

Working Hours
5-day work week with flexibility to include weekends as per the programme requirements.
