We embrace an active investing approach for funds under external management to outperform public market benchmark indices.What impact can you make in this role?We are looking for a suitable candidate to join our team in Singapore. The candidate will be part of the investment management team responsible for external managers due diligence, selection, monitoring and portfolio construction. Candidates should have prior work experience in investment management and have basic statistical and technical knowledge.What will you do as a Portfolio Manager?
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on quantitative fund managers and strategies, which includes sourcing, hiring, and monitoring of managers
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to evaluate the performance and risk of individual funds and portfolios
  • Prepare and interpret comprehensive performance reports and present findings to senior management and investment committees
  • Perform ad hoc analyses, including periodic industry research, and surface potential investment opportunities for the team and GIC at large
  • Maintain internal databases and create helpful analytical tools
What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?
  • At least 8 to 15+ years of fund allocator, risk management and/or capital market experience
  • Attention to detail and interest in fund investing, portfolio construction, and risk management
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to gather and interpret data to aid decision-making
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey findings to senior stakeholders as well as peers
