What the role is:The Public Transport Council (PTC) serves as an advisor to the Minister for Transport on public transport matters. It also regulates public transport fares. PTC carefully considers the perspectives of commuters, the Government, and public transport operators to provide balanced recommendations for improving Singapore's public transport system.What you will be working on:The appointed officer will play a key role in shaping evidence-based recommendations by contributing to the design and execution of innovative solutions, as well as fostering meaningful engagements with stakeholders, partners, and the public. In this role, you will engage in commuter outreach and co-creation initiatives, ensuring that recommendations align with the diverse needs of Singapore's commuters. Key responsibilities include: • Conducting research, including environment scans, trend analysis, and ground sensing, to develop actionable recommendations that address public transport-related matters. • Planning, managing, and executing co-creation, engagement and awareness programs with stakeholders, partners, and the public. • Supporting the Caring SG Commuters Committee secretariat and driving the implementation of initiatives. • Undertaking other tasks as needed.What we are looking for:
  • Excellent communication, written, and presentation skills. • Strong organizational abilities and a track record in project and stakeholder management. • Creative and adaptable, with the ability to connect with diverse groups. • A team player with experience (2-4 years) in public engagement, co-creation, or related fields. • Marketing experience or familiarity with marketing strategies would be an advantage, particularly in planning and executing multi-year campaigns to create awareness, engage and educate commuters.
About Public Transport Council:The mission of the Public Transport Council is to work in collaboration with commuters, transport operators and government agencies to improve our public transport system by keeping public transport fares affordable while ensuring the sustainability of the public transport system; and providing objective, evidence-based advice to the Government to improve the service quality of public transport and commuters' travelling experience.
