Job Description

System Engineer is a professional responsible for managing and maintaining the Windows-based infrastructure and associated technologies within an organization. Their primary role is to ensure the stability, security, and performance of Windows-based systems and applications.

Responsibilities:

Provide maintenance and support services for day-to-day operations of the Enterprise Platforms including Cloud.

Provide support in migrating, upgrading, configuring, and administering the Enterprise Platforms

Unix/windows administration

Track, troubleshoot and resolve any reported technical issues.

Perform application deployment as per given SOP.

Co-ordinate and work with vendors to have the issues resolved.

Provide on-site support for all downtime for client-end, server-end and the following day standby support if required.

Monitor, and apply patches of applications and related platform components in all environments. Support and ensure that the Enterprise Platforms are operational after patching.

Monitor alerts, investigate and resolve the problem within SLA.

Provide management of accounts and access rights for the applications

Trouble-shoot, diagnose, analyse and correct all identified and latent errors in the system in order to ensure the smooth operation of the platform.

Conduct system checks after facilities or preventive maintenance related activities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in relevant field.

At least 2 years of working experience in administering Windows/Unix systems.

At least a Diploma in Computer Science, Computing, Engineering, IT or equivalent.

Good knowledge of application deployments.

Strong interest in investigating and identifying causes of issues, and able to propose solutions to rectify the issue.

Good planning and coordination skills.

Good writing and verbal communication skills.

Certifications such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, MCSE, MCSA, or equivalent are a plus
