Medical Robotics Engineer (Mechanical)
Job Description
In this role, you will bring your expertise in mechanical and mechanism engineering to the R&D of surgical instruments. Your responsibilities will involve designing mechanisms and structures, as well as integrating actuators, motion components, and sensors to enable innovative product features. The challenge will be to work closely with other engineering teams to design and develop surgical instruments that ensure efficient operation, reliability, and safety for clinical use.
Job description:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support mechanical design at various levels, including system, subsystems, modules, and components.
- Assist in the development and review of critical technical aspects related to precision mechanical instruments.
- Address challenges and contribute to improving product reliability.
- Ensure designs meet user requirements, adhere to cost targets, and fulfill quality specifications.
- Conduct analytical studies, risk assessments, and mechanical verification and validation.
- Coordinate local and international design and fabrication activities.
- Mentor junior engineers, helping to build their skills and knowledge.
- Ensure proper documentation, including Design History Files, for mechanical design.
Requirements
- Bachelor/Master degree in Mechanical
- Minimum 4 years of mechanical design experiences within medical industry
- Experience of structure design of small, precision parts and moving/driving mechanism
- Experience of surgical instrument design, such as surgical, laparoscopic, endoscopic tools
- Experience of medical product design
