Job Description:Jurong Port's multipurpose port operating expertise includes efficient handling of general, bulk and containerized cargo, management and operations of the Tuas Offshore Marine Centre, and Lighter Terminals in Penjuru and Marina South. Besides Singapore, Jurong Port is involved in overseas joint ventures in China and Indonesia. In 2016, Jurong Port's local and overseas terminals handled close to 35 million tons of general and bulk cargo, and 560,000 TEUs of container cargo.The JobManaging Operations Requirements:
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the fleet.
  • Coordinate and plan routine vehicle maintenance, repairs, inspections, servicing, and replacements.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all vehicles comply with regulatory requirements. This includes vehicle registration, insurance, maintenance history, renewal of requirements and other relevant documentation.
  • Manage and dispose old or obsolete vehicles based on the vehicle condition and residual value.
  • Monitor and report vehicle defects or issues and follow up on their claim processes.
  • Manage emergency and quick repairs that are out of the maintenance contract.
  • Manage contracts related to fleet management such as routine cleaning of vehicles, maintenance and servicing scopes.
  • Act as a liaison between vehicle users, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Fleet Optimisation:
  • Manage the centralized vehicle booking system by coordinating the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles for operations.
  • Update and generate relevant vehicle reports such as vehicle performance and maintenance records.
  • Monitor the fleet budget, including forecasting expenses, tracking costs, and identifying opportunities for cost savings while considering the business requirements.
  • Continuous monitoring of the fleet usage for further optimisation in terms of vehicle efficiency and usage.
Project:
  • Support company's decarbonization effort by ensuring a smooth transition of vehicles from ICE to EVs and Buggies, as well as bringing in AC and DC chargers.
  • Support the planning of office space management and any relocation of division staff to ensure staff have proper working space.
The Requirements:
  • Preferably a Diploma in Logistics or Transportation.
  • 1-2 years of experience in fleet management, logistics or a similar role is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
