What the role is:The Data Office supports PUB's development of data capabilities through its functions in three domains. Firstly, it oversees data and AI governance to ensure compliance with IM8 and other directives while building organisational competency and fostering a data and AI-driven culture. Next, it also plans for PUB's data analytics infrastructure and executes projects to implement the required systems as well as manages the systems to support PUB's use cases. Finally, the Data Office works with business units to develop Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DSAI) solutions in-house.What you will be working on:The Senior/Data Analyst will be part of the Data Governance and Culture section. He/She will be responsible for the following (not limited to): Job Responsibilities: • Develop and implement data governance and data management policies and processes to drive the responsible management and protection of data in PUB and maintain high quality data assets. • Develop and implement AI governance for both traditional and generative AI use cases. • Manage day-to-day data governance and management issues • Assist with establishing and implementing data standards across PUB to enable data collaboration and analysis across PUB and enable inter-operationality of systems. • Assist with the development and maintenance of an enterprise data catalogue and a data dictionary, including through the tagging of data elements in line with enterprise-wide taxonomy and data standards of other whole-of-government platforms. • Work closely with data owners and stewards to perform regular data quality assessments and ensure data meets established quality standards. • Plan and organise data and AI awareness, literacy and culture building initiatives (e.g. workshops, webinars, sharing sessions, engagement sessions), including design publicity materials. • [Preferred but not mandatory] Conduct training/engagement sessions to enhance data and AI capabilities and culture across the organisation. • Build and maintain a community of practice for data analytics and AI practitioners/enthusiasts • Conduct regular assessments of organisational data and AI competencies and recommend improvement areasWhat we are looking for:
  • Good understanding of data governance, with experience in implementing policies and processes for data governance • Experience or familiarity with data management, master data management and data cataloguing • Data analytics skills are an added advantage but not a pre-requisite for this role • Must be a good team player and highly organised with a positive attitude and ability to multi-task • Possesses good interpersonal, communication, writing and presentation skills • A degree in computer science, information technology, systems engineering or related field • Comfortable with communicating with multiple stakeholders with varying levels of technical maturity Successful applicants will be contacted within 4 weeks of the closing date of this job posting
