- Establish and review procurement and administration strategies, procedures and processes for construction and FM contracts • Provide procurement and contractual advice to project teams on their school building and FM tenders or contracts, including reviewing the tender or quotation specifications to ensure that the Ministry's requirements and needs are met • Manage and coordinate procurement relating to schools building development projects, including calling tenders or quotations, evaluating tender proposals, putting up tender award recommendations for approval and preparing contract documents for awarded tenderers • Administer contracts, including forecasting project cashflow, reviewing variation requests, assessing variation costs, verifying work done on-site, assessing progress claims and finalising accounts • Analyse and keep track of cost estimates provided by external consultants and contractors for budget projection purposes and ensuring prudence in expenditure • Collaborate with stakeholders to review project management processes, including developing SOPs, facilitating knowledge transfer, and implementing best practices
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience in Quantity Surveying • Good working knowledge and understanding of the building industry and regulations • Strong collaborative, communication, interpersonal and project management skills In general, applicants can expect to hear from us within 3 weeks of the close of the application window.
