The lab's research strategy focuses on designing synthetic genetic circuits with a microbial-electronic interface for continuous and autonomous sensing. The successful candidate will join an interdisciplinary team that spans synthetic biology and integration with bioelectronics.The selected RF is required to perform the followings such as :
- Synthetic Biology and Genetic Engineering: Design and optimise synthetic genetic circuits.
- Develop strategies for engineering bacteria to produce redox-active molecules in response to environmental cues
- Integrate Biological sensors with electronic transduction systems to form a robust microbial electronic interface.
- Possess a PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, Synthetic Biology, Materials Science, Biology, or a closely related interdisciplinary field.
- Has a proven track record of publishing in reputable international journals and presenting research findings at conferences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated capability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research team.
- Proven initiative, strong problem-solving skills, and the creativity necessary for advancing cutting-edge research.
- A strong interest in bioelectronics.
- Open to fixed-term contract.
