About the job

The ideal candidate will have an ability to create and maintain an efficient system of operation to support the business needs. The Operations Manager will be responsible for the planning, coordination and control of a global logistics service offering related to ship spare parts. The preferred location for this position is Hamburg, Germany, we are also open to candidates based in Singapore.

Responsibilities

  • Establishment and development of a new line of business
  • Manage the global transport logistics of ship spares
  • Organize and coordinate cargo shipments, transshipment and other logistics services
  • Build and maintain robust global network of suppliers and customers
  • Request quotes, negotiate pricing and collaborate with suppliers to ensure compliance with deadlines and quality standards
  • Optimize logistics processes to enhance operational efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with customers, export regulations and international standards
  • Prepare shipping document and coordinate transportation
  • Communicate effectively with customers, partners and subcontractors

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years working experience in ship spares logistics
  • Highly organized, independent and responsible with a structured work approach
  • Having a strong global network with relevant partners
  • A deep understanding of the end-to-end logistics process for ship spare parts
  • Proficient in common IT systems and ERP software
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
