We are looking for a temporary Project Expeditor for 6 months who will support the Project Managers in expediting plan for the assigned projects. You will coordinate with different customers internally and externally to ensure timely achievement of projects and delivery of equipment.In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Develop an expediting plan for the assigned project(s), which is based on criticality rating of the equipment in relations to the project schedule.
  • Monitors Supplier's delivery progress in accordance with contractual commitment of the purchase order.
  • Expedite in accordance with Project Procurement Plan and to achieve project milestones and on-time delivery of equipment.
  • Ensures the timely issuance of suborders by Supplier for raw material and/or major components.
  • Works with Supplier and Project Team on a recovery plan if schedule is not being met.
  • Review Inspection Test Plan (ITP) if inspections are required as per Contract, to monitor progress and verify actual order status.
  • Issues expediting status/tracking reports on a regular basis to the Project Team.
  • Liaises with Logistics to provide advance notice of impending shipments and to trace major shipments from the supplier to the job site if necessary.
  • Liaise with External (Customer) & Internal partners i.e. Purchasing, Engineering, and QA/QC to resolve any commercial, technical, or quality problems that arise.
  • Track & monitor documentation progress between External (Customer) & Internal Stakeholders.

  • Demonstrate technical ability in interpreting (but not limited to) Purchase Orders, ITP, Procurement Plan, Project Schedule and Supplier/Vendor Data Requirements.
  • Have technical knowledge of materials being purchased, what is being built, manufacturing / fabrication / construction supply chain processes, and supplier base preferred.
  • Demonstrates strong planning and interpersonal skills in order to interact with suppliers and shippers and co-workers in a team-based environment
  • Demonstrate ability to handle multiple tasks and meet demanding deadlines.
  • Ability to independently think through multiple alternatives, potential consequences and economic impact of decisions to determine best approach.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Minimum five years' experience in a related role
  • Proficiency with MS Office
