What the role is:You will be part of the Legal Office at the Ministry of Health, providing legal support to the Ministry across a broad spectrum of public health concerns. These include healthcare finance, ageing, health technology, infrastructure and sector regulation. We are seeking motivated individuals who have the passion to learn, grow and contribute at the intersection of law and public health. Selected candidates will be employed under MOH Holdings. You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.What you will be working on:
  • Advise on, draft and review the Ministry's dealings/documentation with other parties, including working on contracts, international agreements, organisational changes, disputes, statutory appeals and judicial reviews. • Assist the Ministry's policy divisions (including the Communicable Diseases Agency Planning Office) with the formulation and vetting of proposed legislation, and advice on policy/operational matters with legal implications. • Support prosecutorial and enforcement work in connection with offences under the Ministry's purview.
What we are looking for:Work Experience, Competencies and Personal Traits • Tertiary Education in Law. • Qualified in Singapore. • Additional qualification in other common law jurisdiction would be helpful. • Ideally at least 2-4 years of legal work experience. • Experience/expertise in a broad spectrum of legal work, including transactions, disputes, advisory and prosecutorial matters. • Strong legal research, contract vetting, statutory interpretation and drafting skills.
