
Mechanical & Process Engineering Lead (Water Treatment)
Our client is a leader in the Water Treatment industry in Singapore. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for a Mechanical & Process Engineering Lead to join their team, in hopes of developing the current high performing team. They are located in Singapore.
Job Responsibilities
- Review and resolve technical queries with clients.
- Understand project scope and client contract requirements.
- Prepare philosophies for control, startup, and shutdown processes.
- Perform sizing and hydraulic calculations for equipment and pipelines.
- Prepare datasheets for instruments and mechanical equipment.
- Develop PFDs, UFDs, P&IDs, HMBs, and Cause & Effect diagrams.
- Create reports such as process design summaries, utility breakdowns, and vent/drain documentation.
- Work closely with other engineering teams to align process inputs.
- Provide inputs for equipment lists, load data, and inter-discipline deliverables.
- Collect and analyze process data to support trend analysis.
- Support detailed design through to commissioning and testing stages.
- Track client feedback and support changes or variation orders when needed.
- Compile design packages and assist with document submissions.
- Coordinate with engineers for latest updates and maintain organized records.
- Participate in project and coordination meetings to address technical issues.
- Contribute to operations, pre-commissioning, and commissioning manuals.
- Prepare training and handover manuals for contractors and end users.
- Conduct water treatment process studies and analysis.
- Review and comment on vendor documents to meet design requirements.
- Update project team on the schedule of process-related deliverables.
- Ensure process drawings and lessons learned are properly updated and recorded.
- Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirement
- Min Degree in Chemical Engineering and/or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical)
- At least 8 years of experience in Water and Waste Treatment or Oil and Gas onshore/offshore experience.
- Knowledge in designing of complex industrial water treatment systems
- Experience in project management / plant testing & commissioning / facility setup will be an added advantage
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project, good report writing skills
- Willing to travel overseas
