Campari Group is today the sixth-largest player worldwide in the premium spirits industry.Position ContextThe Liquid R&D Manager - APAC is based in the Campari Group Asia Pacific (APAC) Headquarters in Singapore. This role oversees liquid research & development projects within new product innovation, renovation, productivity, risk mitigation, and scientific research.Key Responsibilities and ActivitiesOrganizational and technical leadership responsibilities:Adapt global frameworks and standards to implement regional systems and processes.Define R&D goals and support their execution within the region.Engage with internal stakeholders on projects, prioritization, and resource allocation.Collaborate with suppliers, co-manufacturers, research institutes, and academic institutions to organize and drive liquid R&D projects.Serve as the technical resource for liquid and liquid processing within the region.Support Quality, R&D, and Supply Chain teams on technical issues and new opportunities.Foster best practice sharing across the region through collaborations, meetings, and workshops.Collaborate with the global technical team on strategies, frameworks, guidelines, systems, and technologies.Stay updated on trends, technologies, and regulations to be applied accordingly within Campari Group.Contribute to R&D capital and budget planning for the region.New Liquid Product Development and RenovationOversee liquid innovation and renovation across the region, ensuring compliance with specifications, food safety, and regulatory requirements.Ensure efficient and timely project execution.Facilitate and oversee the smooth hand over of new or renovated liquids or processes into internal and external sites within the region.Develop finished product specifications, formulas, and manufacturing instructions for new beverages.Oversee the proper qualification of new ingredients, processes, and manufacturing sites within the region.Lead the development and maintenance of a research pipeline for innovations, renovations, and productivity enhancements.Identify, secure, and implement process and ingredient technologies from external sources.Approve, manage, and secure formulas and manufacturing instructions for all liquids produced in the region.Key RelationshipsInternal: Marketing, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Procurement, R&D, Legal, Regulatory, Finance, and Project Management teamsExternal: Suppliers, Co-Manufacturers, and Research Institutes.Experience Required5-10 years of leadership and management experience.5+ years of product development or R&D experience.10+ years of experience in a technical field.Experience in Alcoholic Beverage product development is strongly desired.Experience across different disciplines (e.g. product development, regulatory affairs, quality, production, sensory analysis, laboratory) is a plus.Experience leading teams in different countries is a plus.Education / Professional QualificationsDegree in a relevant technical field (i.e. Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Science, etc.) is required.Graduate Degree is preferred.SkillsStrong leadership, negotiating, and influencing skills.Strong technical capability with a proven track record of project management and delivery.Outstanding creative problem solving and multitasking skills.Experience within the food and beverage product development, manufacturing processes, and quality systems is preferred (i.e. HACCP, Food Safety, Root Cause Analysis, etc).Knowledge of food and beverage regulations is preferred.Good sense of taste and smell.Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and oral.Outstanding teamwork skills.Strong knowledge of English, other foreign languages will be a plus.Flexible to travel extensively both domestically and internationally.Our commitment to Diversity & Inclusion:At Campari Group we believe in building more value together, thus we see diversity in all forms as a source of enrichment.
