In this role, the officer is expected to undertake the following areas of work:(i) Application ArchitectureDesign the system's application architecture based on requirements.Manage non-functional requirements like scalability, reliability, and security.Decompose monolithic applications into microservices.Design services that can be independently deployed and scaled.Design scalable UI components and architecture.(ii) Data ArchitectureDefine Data model strategies (Structured vs semi-structured).Define Data storage strategies (e.g., relational, NoSQL, GraphQL).Ensure data consistency, security, and accessibility.(iii) Security ArchitectureDefine security architecture for application based on system classification.Design security controls, such as encryption, authentication, and authorization.Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., IM8).(iv) Stakeholder managementWork with business teams and product owners to ideate Solution Architecture and Design.Coordinate and work with other technical teams (e.g. Infrastructure, Enterprise, Applications, Security) to set up infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, application integrations and resolve deployment and integration issue.(v) Engineering and OperationsDesign scalable and resilient infrastructure.Support development teams by providing advice and guiding the engineers in solving technical problems, code review.Improve software quality using cloud-native and Agile development practices such as TDD, automated CI/CD.Work with application teams to understand RCA for issues, incidents, provide interim and long term solution.Define logging, tracing, and observability practices to quickly identify issues and bottlenecks.(vi) Reusable componentsAdvocate and build reusable components and libraries to be shared across different application development teams.Create and govern guidelines for design, coding, database and best practices.You will be working in a fast-paced environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and needs of stakeholders, as well as the agility to respond to changes and developments.[What we are looking for]Bachelor Degree or Master Degree with minimally 8 years of relevant working experience in application development and design, and business analysisStrong knowledge of solution architectures and integration patternsAbility to design and develop large scale applications to solve complex business problemsProficient in .Net, Java, React.js, Node.js, MYSQL and MongoDBFamiliar with multi-paradigm programming languagesExperience in software development lifecycle in an Agile Scrum contextExperience in OAuth2/OpenID connectExperience in containers, microservices and DevSecOps technologiesFamiliar with cloud-native technologyExperience in designing and developing applications in AWS cloud environmentCertification on AWS cloud technology is preferredGood understanding of SRE/Service/Security /Compliance Management process including change, incident, problem on cloud platformGood analytical skills, and able to multi-task and deliver results in a timely mannerAbility to resolve complex problems creativelySelf-driven, creative and team-oriented person with good interpersonal and organizational skillsAs part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.This contract ends in Dec 2029.
