What the role is:The job holder will play a key role in the orchestrating of the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority's (ICA) foundational and tradecraft courses. This role entails meticulous planning, administration, and coordination of training programs to ensure the seamless onboarding and continuous professional development of new and in-service ICA officers in accordance with the ICA Skills Competency Framework. Additionally, the role involves managing partnerships with local and foreign counterparts and institutions, enhancing ICA's international standing and training capabilities, while ensuring the operational readiness of officers through effective liaison and network building. This is a 2-year contract position.What you will be working on:[Programme Management] • Plan, curate, schedule, and administer courses for both new and in-service ICA officers • Collaborate with trainers, curriculum developers, and the Learning Technology branch to develop and refine in-house training programmes • Coordinate, procure and manage contracts for courses provided by external providers [Training Coordination] • Serve as the main Training Coordinator, overseeing a network of Training Coordinators throughout ICA, to manage the nominations of officers to attend courses • Act as a resource for ICA work units in sourcing and procuring external training programmes • Manage and maintain ICA's training databases • Represent ICA in the Home Team Trainers' Competency Development Roadmap (TCDR) secretariat and serve on the TCDR Review Committee [Strategic Partnership Engagement] • Execute strategies to engage stakeholders and strengthen ICA's key capability development efforts • Facilitate knowledge exchange, share best practices, and build capabilities to address complex transnational border security challenges • Oversee arrangements for ICA officers attending overseas training programmes • Collaborate with MFA and organise training for ICA's strategic foreign counterparts • Plan and coordinate inter-agency training programmes with both foreign and local partners • Curate and manage local training programmes with strategic local partners • Expands ICA's Training Command's outreach and partnerships with local learning institutions • Maintains oversight of ICA's Training Command Partnership state of affairsWhat we are looking for:
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to assess information critically and logically • Meticulous with strong organisational skills to manage multiple ongoing workstreams effectively in a fast-paced environment • Works well independently and in team settings • Confident, resourceful and flexible when handling situations out of the ordinary • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement • Possesses adaptability and willingness to embrace new technologies and methodologies • Experience in procurement, data management functions, and familiarity of AI office tools will be advantageous but is not required
