- Evaluate AI-related software inventions for commercial potential, patentability, and alignment with market needs
- Develop strategies for protecting and maximising the value of NUS's AI-related intellectual property portfolio
- Work closely with legal advisors to manage intellectual property rights, including patent filings and maintenance for AI inventions
- Collaborate with researchers to enhance the development of AI technologies, ensuring their readiness for commercialisation.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with industry partners, investors, and other stakeholders to promote NUS's AI technologies
- Represent NUS at industry conferences, workshops, and networking events to showcase software innovations
- Develop, negotiate, and execute software license agreements with industry partners, ensuring terms align with NUS's policies and objectives
- Manage existing license agreements, ensuring compliance and addressing any disputes or amendments as necessary
- Support faculty and student entrepreneurs in the AI domain by providing guidance on technology commercialiaation and startup formation
- Facilitate access to resources and funding opportunities to support the commercialiaation of AI innovations
- Maintain comprehensive records of all technology transfer activities, agreements, and communications
- Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders on the progress and impact of AI technology transfer initiatives
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. A focus on Artificial Intelligence is highly desirable
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in technology transfer, licensing, or related fields, with a strong emphasis on AI technologies
- Proven track record in negotiating and managing complex license agreements
- Good understanding of intellectual property rights and patent processes related to software and AI technologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
