Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Finance Manager to support the financial operations of our organization. This role involves assisting in financial planning and analysis, reporting, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Group Financial Consolidation & Reporting

· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements – including consolidation of multiple legal entities, including international subsidiaries.

· Analyze financial performance and provide insights on variances, trends, and forecasts.

· Assist in developing and monitoring KPIs and financial dashboards.

2. Budgeting & Forecasting

· Support the development of annual budgeting and forecasting.

· Track the budget performance and provide variance analysis.

· Work closely with department heads to align financial plans with operational goals.

3. Accounting Operations

· Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.

· Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.

· Assist in maintaining the integrity of the charts of accounts and financial data.

4. Cost-Allocation Management

· Develop and maintain cost-allocation models and methodologies.

· Allocate direct and indirect costs across business units, departments, and cost-centres.

· Ensure allocations are consistent with organizational policy and business needs.

· Prepare regular cost-allocation reports for management and stakeholders.

5. Compliance & Audit

· Ensure compliance with financial policies, accounting standards (IFRS), and statutory requirements.

· Coordinate and support internal & external audits.

· Maintain proper documentation for financial transactions and audit purposes.

6. Process Improvement & Controls

· Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and internal controls.

· Assist in the implementation of financial systems, tools, and best practices.

· Recommend cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements.

7. Team Support & Leadership

· Supervise and support accountants and other finance staff, providing guidance and training as needed.

· Act as a liason between the finance department and other departments.

Job Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or Finance, or professional certification (e.g ACCA, CPA).

· 6-8 years relevant working experience.

· Strong working knowledge in core accounting principles that adheres to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), budgeting, and business partnering.

· Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data modeling) and ERP systems.

· Candidate with audit experience or have consolidation experience is an added advantage.

· Excellent analytical skills with problem-solving abilities.
