You will lead a team of cloud engineers, oversee critical cloud transformation initiatives, and ensure the delivery of scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions. The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and a passion for driving cloud best practices across the organization.Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the design, deployment, and management of enterprise cloud infrastructure and services across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
- Define and drive cloud architecture standards, cloud governance models, and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Security, Development, Data) to deliver cloud-native and hybrid solutions.
- Lead cloud migration projects, including assessment, planning, execution, and optimization.
- Drive the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and containerization across platforms.
- Implement robust cloud security, monitoring, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Monitor cloud costs and implement optimization strategies to ensure efficiency and budget adherence.
- Mentor, coach, and develop a team of cloud engineers; foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Conduct technical reviews, ensure high-quality engineering practices, and lead root cause analysis for critical incidents.
- Stay abreast of the latest cloud trends, technologies, and emerging best practices to continuously evolve the cloud strategy.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. Master's Degree is a plus.
- Minimum 6-8 years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, with 2-3 years in a leadership or senior engineering role.
- Expertise with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and solid understanding of multi-cloud environments.
- Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef).
- Extensive knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and serverless computing architectures.
- Deep understanding of cloud security principles (IAM, encryption, networking security, compliance frameworks).
- Experience with DevOps pipelines, CI/CD tooling, and cloud automation frameworks.
- Ability to lead technical discussions, make architecture decisions, and mentor team members.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive solutions under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across technical and business stakeholders.
- Professional-level cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, GCP Professional Cloud Architect).
- Experience with cloud financial management tools (AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management).
- Background in managing hybrid cloud or on-premises to cloud migrations at enterprise scale.
- Familiarity with compliance standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, MAS TRM).
