To also support Centre for the Arts' (CFA) partnerships on selected academic components in the arts, and to grow outreach and recruitment components in student life programmes.Duties & Responsibilities * To manage student arts group by;
- overseeing their day-to-day administration, rehearsals, meetings and workshops, performing planning, financial and production management,
- managing annual exercises such as elections of the student leadership, and providing support for their annual budget & work plan;
- liaising with the groups' tutors to achieve intended artistic outcomes; and
- supporting CFA community engagement, student recruitment and outreach activities.
- To support the development of academic facing components in CFA within student life programmes.
- To support the development of student life arts activities and provide administrative, programming & production support on campus such as Supernova, the NUS Arts Festival, third space and any other standalone Office of Student Affairs events when needed.
- To support CFA engagement with the NUS arts community in a systematic way by supporting collaborative opportunities to grow interest in the arts on campus.
- To support strengthening of arts outreach efforts beyond NUS with younger audiences interested in NUS arts via marketing and outreach.
- To support the growth of interdisciplinary programmes and to build partnerships within NUS and across educational institutions both locally and regionally.
- Bachelor Degree (or equivalent experience in the arts industry) a basic requirement, with second major/minor in Arts, Humanities or Social Sciences, Arts Management and/or Production Management is an advantage.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in student development in areas of artistic development, arts programming & production and event management of arts activities.
- Strong interest and knowledge in arts programming and production is strongly preferred.
- Strong interest in developing youth-driven interdisciplinary career in arts management and arts integration.
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent administrative skills to be able to meet deadlines and deliver work of high quality as well as demonstrated commitment to work in a team.
