Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and document current business processes, pain points, and improvement opportunities across Operations, Accounting, and Risk domains.
  • Drive the definition of Target Operating Models (TOM) by engaging with stakeholders and translating business needs into functional requirements.
  • Support GL/accounting system design, ensuring alignment with financial reporting and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with risk teams to identify,analyze,and document risk exposure, mitigation strategies, and related process controls.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions,workshops, and walkthroughs with stakeholders across the enterprise.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications for development and QA teams.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT), process reengineering, and documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Act as a liaison between business units and technology teams, ensuring clear understanding and successful delivery of projects

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in financial services, with exposure to Operations, Accounting, and Risk functions.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, general ledger systems, and financial reconciliations.
  • Experience working with risk management frameworks, risk assessment, and controls documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience in Target Operating Model (TOM) development and business process optimization.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency with BA tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, and Excel.
  • Ability to work in Agile and/or Waterfall project environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of banking products, loan servicing or financial reporting standards.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as Basel III, IFRS, or SOX.
  • Professional certifications like CBAP, CPA, CFA, or FRM are a plus.
