Job Title: Procurement Intern

About The Role

The procurement Intern will help the APAC Procurement and logistics team on various tasks such as data analysis, review of contract at regional level, organise contract checklist and liaise with various stakeholders on various topics including working on cost saving initiatives. This role will also cover all aspects of strategic procurement portfolio in logistics. Successful candidate will have the opportunity to understand different markets and culture from Oceania, South East Asia, North Asia and South Africa culture. He/She will have the opportunity to experience and understand regional to global setup. He/She will also have the opportunity learn and experience on business negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data analysis on warehousing and freight portions
  • Help projects leader on various projects related to the APAC Logistics Strategic Roadmap (Could also lead projects depending on performance)
  • Prepare and coordinate various presentations with different stakeholders.
  • Implement OFI (Opportunities for Improvement) identified by the team
  • Implement and work with Suppliers on various topics including reviewing on rate cards, comparing and running projects.

ESSENTIAL:

  • Undergraduates who can commit for at least 6 months (Jan-Jun 2025) for a full-time internship.
  • Skilled in the use of MS Office tools including Outlook (or related email tool) Excel (Advanced level), Word and PowerPoint.
  • Supply Chain and Logistics knowledge
  • Self-motivated and self-starter, with a strong work ethic and a sense of confidentiality.
  • Possesses cross-cultural awareness and high emotional intelligence.
  • Articulate, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good balance of a professional attitude while having fun.
  • Strong interest in consumer goods, makeup and beauty products.
  • Strong desire to learn along with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Persuasive, resilient and flexible, able to easily adapt to new challenges.
