Summary

This role is to lead and oversee supply chain projects to be implemented in APAC region, which includes but not limited to steering of project execution >€2M, controlling of project activities in the region, and provision of support if needed on country & local level – acting as docking-point and interface between COE and regions. This position requires strong leadership, project management skills, and technical expertise in asset and capex management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as project leader for supply chain projects execution >€2M across APAC region, to establish project management methodologies and manage tools, budgets, and processes to ensure efficient project execution and delivery.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to support other projects execution <€2M through close collaboration with country and local project teams to drive successful project outcomes and continuous improvement initiatives across the region.
  • Conduct regular reviews and evaluations of capex projects in the region to identify risks, issues, cost controls, and opportunities for improvement. Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors, contractors, and stakeholders to support project execution and mitigate potential risks.
  • Compile and summarize best practices from various plant operations based on practical conditions and promote their implementation across all plants to support continuous improvement in safety, quality, and production efficiency. Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance plans.
  • Prepare and present periodic reports to senior management on the status, progress, spending, and performance of capex projects across APAC region.
  • Support the implementation of equipment integrity and necessary engineering controls related to process safety at regional level.
  • Support the scale-up of new products, and closely coordinate with business units for new project evaluations.
  • Develop a 5-year capacity planning strategy in alignment with established Brenntag Essential's business strategies.
  • Drive and facilitate Lean 6 Sigma initiatives across the region.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

  • Qualifications & Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree and/or above
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in capital project management, asset management, or related field; Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale capital expenditure projects >€2M.
    • Strong financial acumen with the ability to develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
    • Excellent communication and coordination skills, able to effectively collaborate with
    • various stakeholders at all levels.
    • Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and software applications.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven
    • decisions and drive continuous improvement.
    • Excellent project management skills, able to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities.
    • Good command of English communication skills, fluency in Chinese would be considered a plus.
    • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and collaborate with teams across different geographies.
    • Must be flexible to travel when required to fulfill needs of the business.
