As a Finance Manager at Ascenda, you will be a key driver in ensuring smooth financial operations by overseeing accounts payable, cash flow management, and financial processes across our global operations. You’ll play a crucial role in managing vendor relationships, optimizing payment workflows, and supporting financial transformation initiatives. Your contributions will directly impact financial accuracy, efficiency, and operational excellence.
Your Impact
- Own and optimize accounts payable operations – Ensure accurate and timely processing of vendor bills, payments, payroll, and staff claims across multiple entities while maintaining compliance with financial policies.
- Lead cash flow management efforts – Monitor global cash balances, forecast payables, vendor deposit balances, and optimize payment planning to ensure financial stability.
- Streamline financial processes – Identify inefficiencies in payment workflows and drive automation or system enhancements to improve operational efficiency.
- Treasury operations – Oversee corporate bank accounts, execute payment runs, and liaise with banking partners to support seamless transactions.
- Ensure financial accuracy – Reconcile bank transactions, oversee expense claims, and review corporate card transactions to maintain financial integrity.
- Import and reconcile bank statements – Regularly import bank statements into NetSuite and perform reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Support financial transformation projects – Drive process improvements such as bank integration, payment automation, and ERP (NetSuite) optimization.
- Support audits and compliance reporting – Assist with audit requests and regulatory filings, including AIS and IR21 tax submissions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally – Work closely with partnership, and people success teams to manage supplier relationship and personnel related matters.
- Supporting Audit Requests: Assist in gathering and preparing documentation for audits.
- Ad Hoc Support: Handle ad hoc finance tasks, such as managing incoming mail, depositing cheques and maintaining financial records.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. ACCA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years with accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, payment processing, and vendor management, payroll processing and staff-related tax filings (e.g. AIS, IR21) experience, preferably in a fast-growing tech company
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and banking operations
- Proficiency in using ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite), spreadsheets (e.g. MS Excel, Google Sheet)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
- Prior experience in finance transformation projects is a plus
- Positive attitude and willing to learn
- Hybrid role – Working on site in office for up to 3 days in office is required
- Flexible working hours based on business needs
